Since childhood, Roger Baker, had a passion for classic cars. As a boy, health issues meant he couldn’t pursue his dream to become a mechanic. Instead, he got into high gear as an author, lecturer, and storyteller. Later, in retirement, Roger became a popular resident of Brookdale Ellington Field in Houston, Texas.

At 86, Roger’s wish was to learn how classic cars were built and relive special auto-fueled memories, despite challenges from dementia. Wish of a Lifetime and TENA were delighted to send Roger and his family to Classic Cars of Houston on November 15, 2016. He enjoyed a private VIP tour, inspected antique cars, and even went on a joyride with the manager, smiling from ear to ear throughout his Wish experience

Roger inspired us all to dream big, and never let age be a roadblock.
