The “Jana Quinn Inspirational Award” is presented annually to a healthcare professional who is successful in their career and also in life. The award is given by Professional Women in Healthcare in memory of Jana Quinn, a founding member of the association.

The award was given during the recent Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) meeting in Dallas, Texas. The event draws hundreds of healthcare professionals, including SCA's current and potential TENA customers in North America. Heather Llorca-Kropp, Chairperson of Professional Women in Healthcare, shared why they chose to honor Sam.

“Sam is a person who has a true passion for the products, the customers, the competition and the community of people that make up the broader scope. He is a strong supporter of distribution as a business strategy for manufacturers. He values the importance of partnership and is committed to finding resourceful ways to provide customer solutions,” said Heather. “He has a ‘We can go get it and win!’ attitude.”

Heather also noted Sam’s grace in his personal life. He created The Sam Robb Fund in honor of his son’s memory and to raise funds to find a cure for childhood cancer. “Sam Robb is a true inspiration,” Heather added.

Teresa Coles, Sales Director, Government and Home care for PC-NA and a member of Professional Women in Healthcare nominated Sam, along with many of his industry peers.

“The entire HIDA community gave Sam a standing ovation during the awards ceremony. This act and the award say so much about Sam,” said Mike Feenan, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, PC-NA. “We are all very proud to call him a member of our team. On behalf of everyone at SCA, congratulations, Sam!”
