TENA® QAPI

TENA® QAPI takes a multidisciplinary approach to individualized resident care, while building communication between facility team members and the resident and family.

QAPI is a mandated component of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) with a proactive care focus for Skilled Nursing/Long Term Care by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), with the final guidance on tracking and reporting that resulted in 2014.

To support the industry TENA® has developed fully customizable Performance Improvement Projects (PIP) related to continence care for each facility to follow within their QAPI initiative.

The goal of QAPI is ultimately to evaluate every facet of a clinical problem and proactively prepare for potential incidents before they begin. TENA® is prepared to offer clinical support and product knowledge that will enhance clinical outcomes for your residents, well beyond continence care.

TENA®’S 5 PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS (PIPS):

    • Admission/Readmission
    • Dignity
    • Night Time Continence Care
    • Leakage
    • Restorative Programming

As mandated by the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), each facility is to participate in Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) projects. Recognizing the root cause of a performance issue and where to begin a QAPI project can be the most challenging part. With TENA® QAPI, our team will guide you through the process with a road map to follow. Our approach is to assist you with completing a root cause analysis and deliver a Performance Improvement Project (PIP) that will best improve your clinical outcomes. TENA® QAPI takes a multidisciplinary approach to individualized resident care, while building communication between facility team members and the resident and family. TENA® QAPI delivers PIPs that focus on proper incontinence care and personal hygiene to allow each resident to live at their highest level of function by consistently delivering proactive care.
